Research

The Chair of Designing plastics and Composite Materials works in researching in the following fields:

- Construction directives for parts made of plastics and composite materials

- Investigation of designs made of plastics- and composite materials in respect of the processing, weight, costs, force application, insulation/heat transfer etc.

- Further development of calculation methods in respect of optimisation, non-linearities (geometrical and physical), three-dimensional material laws, mutual hinderence, failure hypothesis

- Verifying of the examination results with practical tests
