Print & Coat - Polymers in Printing and Coating Technologies 


At the 28th Plastics Colloquium everything revolved around polymers in printing and coating technologies. The participants learned about the possibilities that plastics open up, for example in generative manufacturing or for new application processes for the following topics: Additive manufacturing: trends and future developments, new materials for 3D printing processes, smart coatings - innovative concepts in coating technology, design and functionality of printed components, characterisation of surfaces and coatings.

Innovative injection moulding technology - trends and current developments 


The 26th Leoben Plastics Colloquium focused on innovative injection moulding technology with its trends and current developments, starting with embedding in Industry 4.0, new possibilities in simulation through to innovative special processes and surface inspection. The main topics were: the injection moulding process in the environment of Industry 4.0, integrative injection moulding simulation, elastomer injection moulding, surfaces and interfaces, special processes.

Plastics-compatible component development - from material to product


The focus of the 25th Leoben Plastics Colloquium was on plastic components, with topics ranging from the process chain of plastics-compatible and efficient component development to innovative recycling options: From requirements profile to material, reliable material performance - test methods for efficient material characterisation, material modelling, component design and component testing, prototyping and 3D printing, innovative recycling strategies.

24. Leobener Polymer Colloquium 2015

Colloquium Plastics Processing GRL 75 on the occasion of the 75th birthday of em.Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.-techn. Günter Rüdiger Langecker


This special colloquium in honour of em.Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.-techn. Langecker - full professor of the Chair of Plastics Processing from 1989 to 2006 - was dedicated to plastics processing. The doctors, who earned their doctorates under em.Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.-techn. Langecker, gave topical lectures from science and industry on the topics of extrusion, injection moulding, compounding and simulation.

22. Leobener Polymer Colloquium 2013

Surfaces and interfaces in polymer technology 


The 22nd Leoben Plastics Colloquium dealt with "Surfaces and Interfaces in Polymer Technology". This covered a broad spectrum from scientific research to trends and technological developments in domestic and foreign industry, taking into account aspects of polymer chemistry, plastics engineering and composite technology. As a basis for an interesting exchange of information, renowned experts from industry and research were invited to give lectures on the following thematic focal points, among others: activation and functionalisation of polymer surfaces, characterisation of surfaces and interfaces, coatings with special functionality, interface phenomena in plastics processing, multilayer systems in plastics technology, multifunctional surfaces and interfaces in composite materials.

21. Leobener Polymer Colloquium 2012

Success through compounding


At the 21st Plastics Colloquium, a broad arc was drawn along the process chain in the field of compounding, from scientific research to trends and technological developments in industry. In particular, the question of how to successfully develop and produce materials with compounding and place them successfully on the market was addressed.
