50 years of Polymer tecnic Leoben

Due to the corona-related postponement to the year 2021, the anniversary year is already over, but nevertheless we would like to celebrate five decades of plastics technology in Leoben in a dignified way! And the stage for this will be the 29th Leoben Plastics Colloquium. You can look forward to a brilliant event, with a look back at 50 years of history as well as a look forward to a challenging but also promising future. 

Since its beginnings, the Department of Plastics Technology has always followed the trends in science and research. It has grown from two institutes into a strong network of six chairs and has had a strong partner in the Polymer Competence Center Leoben for more than 15 years.

Trends in polymer science have never changed more rapidly and fundamentally than these days, innovation and disruption are the words of the hour. This rapid change means challenges for research institutes and industrial companies to master, but also incredible opportunities.

2021 FIRST: The 29th Leoben Polymer Colloquium will be held entirely in English for the first time.

The audience can expect an exciting, international technical programme with contributions from industry and science, as well as an exhibition where well-known companies will present their products and services.
