Polymer Engineering and Science at Plastic Pipes Conference

From 15 to 17 September 2025, the Hilton City in Warsaw, Poland, hosted the XXII Plastic Pipes Conference & Exhibition – one of the most important international events focusing on plastic pipes, their service life and possible applications.

Our Polymer Engineering and Science team in Leoben was represented with several exciting contributions:

  • Daniel Zach: Presentation ‘Stress Relaxation-Based Lifetime Estimation of Unpressurised Polyethylene Pipes Containing Recycled Material – Revisiting the Janson Strainability Approach’ (CD Laboratory & WPK)
  • Gerald Pinter: Presentation ‘100 Years Lifetime of Polyethylene Pipes – a Review’ (WPK)
  • Mario Messiha: Presentation ‘Predicting the ‘1000-hour’ Test According EN 1852-1 of Virgin and Post-Consumer Recycled Polypropylene Grades and Corresponding Mixtures’ (PCCL)
  • Marton Bredacs: Presentation ‘Assessing Long-Term Effects and Permeation of Hydrogen Transported in Polyethylene Pipes’ (PCCL & H2toPipe)
  • Jutta Geier: Presentation ‘Higher Quality Recyclates for Pipe Applications by Improved Mechanical Recycling’ (PCCL)
