New special issue in “Polymers”: Focus on micro- and nanoplastics

In a pioneering collaboration, Dr. Gisbert Riess (Institute of Chemistry of Polymeric Materials) and Dr. Thomas Meisel (Institute of General and Analytical Chemistry) have published a special issue of the journal Polymers (Published by MDPI).

This issue, entitled “Micro- and Nanoplastics Engineering and Design for Research”, is comprehensively dedicated to research and development in the field of micro- and nanoplastics. Highlighed are all relevant aspects of the production, structure and properties of polymeric materials, with a particular emphasis on chemical/physical analytical characterization. Another special topic of the issue are articles on core-shell particles based on polymer-polymer or inorganic filler-polymer systems. These particles are used as markers for more precise characterization.

Experts and researchers interested in publishing in this special issue are cordially invited to contact the editors.
