About the role
Computational Material Science is nowadays an integral part of polymer/compound Product Development and Application Development. Borealis R&D is one of the pioneers in this field of expertise.

In this position you will work with advanced Finite Element methods in a professional environment. In customer projects, you will apply the simulation methods to combine your Know How in Polymer Material Science  and Thermo-Mechanics for the specific demands of customers applications. In R&D, you will apply and further develop numerical methods in the fields of micro-mechanics. You will work in close co-operation with Customers, Market Development, Research and a network of Research Institutes.

About you

  • University degree in Polymer Science, Polymer Physics, or other relevant areas
  • Experience in Finite Element techniques – Moldflow, Simulia, Dyna3D, Xstream
  • Analytical thinking, expertise, innovative
  • Customer oriented, service minded
  • Co-operative team-player, interpersonal understanding
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English

Following Austrian law regulations, we offer, reflecting your experiences, skills and competencies, competitive compensation based on the collective labour agreement chemical industry starting at EUR 52.204,04 annual gross  alary (based on 38 hrs/week) and are willing to pay more based on your experience and background.
