As part of the Polymer Recycling Technology module, students had the opportunity to visit EREMA Engineering Recycling Maschinen und Anlagen Ges.m.b.H. in Ansfelden during a field trip. The aim of the event was to link theoretical course content with practical insights into industrial recycling processes.
During the field trip, participants gained comprehensive insights into modern plastic recycling technologies—from the processing of plastic waste and innovative filtration systems to the regranulation of high-quality recyclates. Of particular note was the practical demonstration of the process chains as well as the importance of efficient recycling solutions in the context of a functioning circular economy.
The excursion was also financially supported by the Verband Leobener Kunststofftechniker (VLK), which promoted exchange between students and industry representatives.
The event thus served as an ideal complement to university education and underscored the relevance of innovative technologies for sustainable plastic use.
