Martin Schmid (Vorarlberger Energienetze GmbH) welcomed the participants, after which Prof. Gerald Pinter (Head of the Institute of Materials Science and Testing of Polymers WPK) spoke about the university and the research work in the field of pipes.

This was followed by news from the ÖVGW and specialist presentations: Márton Bredács (Polymer Compentence Center Leoben GmbH PCCL) spoke about the material properties of polyethylene in connection with hydrogen and Martin Stoff (Holding Graz) gave a presentation on low-digging rehabilitation measures as a standard procedure in Graz.

After a lunch break, there was a tour of the PCCL's testing infrastructure and the Institute of Materials Science and Testing of Polymers at the Center for Polymer Engineering and Science.
