With her viva on the topic of "Inline Monitoring and Control for Automated Tape Laying", Neha Yadav successfully completed her doctoral studies at the University of Leoben today. This is the second time Yadav has had reason to celebrate in October; she was also recently awarded the ÖWGP Doctoral Prize (we reported). Neha Yadav's dissertation at the Institute of Processing of Composites focused on different approaches for automated detection of material-inherent as well as process-induced defects in laminates made of continuously fiber-reinforced polymeric composites produced by thermoplastic lay-up technology.
The examination board consisted of assoz.Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.mont. Ewald Fauster (first examiner, interim. Head of Institute of Processing of Composites, MUL), Priv.-Doz. Dr.techn. Beata Oswald-Tranta (second examiner, Chair of Automation, MUL), Univ.-Prof. Dr. Raúl Bermejo (chairman, head Chair of Structural and Functional Ceramics, MUL)
Congratulations!
