Awarded the H.F. Mark Medal

Professor Dr. Clemens Holzer, Head of the Institute of Polymer Processing, was honoured with Austria's highest award in the field of polymer sciences.

The OFI Austrian Research Institute for Chemistry and Technology awards the H.F. Mark Medal to individuals for outstanding achievements in the field of polymer science and the plastics industry. 
Since 1975, the OFI has awarded the H.F. Mark Medals annually in honor of Prof. Hermann Franz Mark, the founder of modern polymer chemistry. The award honors prominent figures from the fields of plastics science and plastics industry.

The medal was presented on October 15, 2025, by Udo Pappler and Hubert Culik, managing directors of OFI.

The laudatory speech was given by Prof. Dr. Walter Friesenbichler, former director of the Institute for Plastic Injection Molding.
