29th Leoben-Conference of Polymer Engineering & Science

[Translate to Englisch:] 29. Leobener Kunststoff-Kolloquium 2021

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizing committee of the 29th Leoben-Concerence on Polymer Engineering and Science had to postpone the event from April 2020 to September 2021. However, we are now confident that due to the progressing COVID-19 vaccination in Austria and Europe, the strict hygiene guidelines of the Montanuniversität Leoben and the time of year, a hybrid realization of the meeting on September 15 and 16, 2021 will be possible.

So, the Department of Polymer Engineering and Science and the Polymer Competence Center Leoben now cordially invite you to the:

29th Leoben-Concerence on Polymer Engineering and Science.

Contents & Program

The Study program Polymer Engineering and Science Leoben celebrated its 50th birthday in 2020!This golden jubilee should also be celebrated properly, and the stage for this will be the 29th Leoben-Concerence on Polymer Engineering and Science. We can look forward to a brilliant event, with a look back at 50 years of history as well as a look forward to a challenging but also promising future. Since its beginnings, the Department of Polymer Technology has always followed the trends in science and research. It has grown from two institutes to a strong network of six institutes and has had a strong partner in the Polymer Competence Center Leoben for more than 15 years.Never before have trends in polymer science changed more rapidly and fundamentally than these days; innovation and disruption are the words of the hour. This rapid change means challenges for research institutes and industrial companies to master, but also incredible opportunities. Walter Friesenbichler, Head of the Institute of Injection Molding of Polymers. This area of tension between opportunities and challenges will be discussed on the basis of three guiding themes Anniversary Colloquium.

- Smart Production - Sustainability and Polymers - Additive Manufacturing -

FOR THE FIRST TIME: The 29th Leoben-Concerence on Polymer Engineering and Science will be held entirely in English.

The audience can expect an exciting, international technical program with contributions from industry and science, as well as an exhibition where well-known companies will present their products and services.
